It’s a dark week in the mountains of the Pays de Savoie. After the death of a skier hiking in Beaufortain on Tuesday, a mountaineer lost his life this Saturday in Haute-Savoie. This young man in his thirties was climbing the Tournette when he fell. The alert was given just before 2 p.m.

His companion, also in his thirties, was transported in absolute urgency by helicopter to Annecy hospital. Two helicopters, that of the Choucas 74 gendarmerie and the Dragon 74 civil security, were mobilized on this tragic accident. At this time, the circumstances of the fall are not known.
