A shooting left one dead and one injured on Wednesday evening, September 18, in the city of La Cayolle in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), located south of the city in the 9th arrondissement, Agence Radio France learned from a police source, confirming information from BFM Marseille Provence.
According to this source, bursts of gunfire were reported around 8:25 p.m. on Boulevard des Calanques. A 20-year-old man was killed by the gunfire, while a second man was injured in the legs and was hospitalized, with no life-threatening injuries.
The reasons for the shooting are not yet known. Firefighters and police are on site, as well as the police chief.
