After refusing to comply, a scooter collided with a police car on the evening of Wednesday March 13. Its driver died.
In Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis), the driver of a scooter died on Wednesday March 13 in the evening. His passenger was taken to hospital. According to images collected by France 2, the scooter, after refusing to comply, is pursued by a first police car. In front of him, a second police car arrives. This is that of the BAC, called in for reinforcement. At the same time, a taxi drives away in front of the BAC police officers, who swerve and hit the scooter.
Two investigations have been opened
In another video, shot just after the incident, the scooter passenger is injured on the ground. Police officers drag him to the sidewalk, while waiting for help. The traces left at the accident site testify to the violence of the impact. To determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy, the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office (Seine-Saint-Denis) opened two investigations. A first investigation is opened for aggravated refusal to comply on the part of the two young people aged 18 and 19. The other investigation is entrusted to the IGPN, the police department.
