A wave of nostalgia will sweep across the screens. MusiquePlus, the legendary channel that thrilled crowds with its looping music videos, VJs and must-see events between the end of the 1980s and 2019, is indeed returning to the airwaves for an evening that has already made several generations of viewers impatient.
The special broadcast therefore promises to revive the festive, offbeat and electrifying spirit that has made MusiquePlus’ success over time. MusicPlus as an encorehosted by Chloée Deblois, with the participation of former VJ Chéli Sauvé-Castonguay and comedian Tai TL, wants to reinvent the tradition of “Artists of the Month” by adding a resolutely contemporary touch. A handful of Quebec artists who embody today’s musical up-and-coming talent — Aswell, L’Isle, Marilyne Léonard, Naomi and Soran — will take to the stage, while Quebec hip-hop pioneers Muzion will also be there, for even more surprises…
MusicPlus as an encore is in fact announced as a tribute to the cult segments that marked the glorious years of the channel, but also as a celebration of its heritage in current pop culture.
