A Florida teenager was forced to move to another state after a video of her being abused by her bullies went viral.
Twelve-year-old Patricia was in sixth grade at Veteran’s Park Academy when she started avoiding school. It was then that her family realized she was being bullied, according to US media outlet WINK News.
His mother Danielle Kicker then decided to go to the school to discuss the situation with the management.
“I said that this harassment must stop. This little girl does not want to come to school. [La directrice] promised me that she was in good hands,” said the mother.
However shortly after Patricia was beaten in the toilet in front of a crowd of students.
“No one protected her. Nobody did anything. How can you hear all that noise and see all those kids running around? Where are the adults? Where are all the adults here?” said her grandmother, Madonna Lewis.
The girl changed schools in January after the attack, but the kids at her new school had seen the video and started bullying her too. She therefore had to move to Missouri with other members of her family.
“They turned their back on him. She had no one. The Lee County School District has failed,” said Mr.me Kicker.
