On trial | The revisited buffet at the Lloyd restaurant

Is the good old all-you-can-eat buffet making a comeback? One thing is certain, Kevin Mougin, chef of the Lloyd restaurant at the Marriott Château Champlain hotel, has decided to infuse a good dose of love into his buffet for Saturday and Sunday brunches.

The classics of the genre (scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrown-style shredded potatoes, etc.) rub shoulders here with more refined dishes like beef with pepper sauce, eggs benedict, Cajun-style chicken or melting maple ham in the mouth.

We especially fell for the dessert section and its tower of rainbow-colored macaroons. Chocolate mousse, choux overflowing with cream, tropézienne tart with its brioche dough and floating islands are just some of the sweet pleasures ready to be tasted. Signature cocktails were also created for the occasion.

Price: $45 per person (drink not included).
