“Thank you to those who send me kind messages of recovery!” writes Pascal Obispo in his latest post on Instagram, dated July 29, illustrated by a photo taken from behind of him and his son Sean.

In recent days, the 59-year-old singer-songwriter has been canceling dates and posting “sorry I couldn’t make it” his concerts. These were scheduled successively in Arcachon (July 24), Jullouville (July 25), then Dax (July 27), Perpignan (July 28) and finally Sainte-Maxime (July 29) whose municipality mentioned a “health reason” on his Facebook page to explain the cancellation of the show.

Pascal Obispo, who had embarked on a major festival tour to celebrate “30 years of success”, is now giving his fans a date for the end of August. In theory, his tour will resume on August 25 in Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne, we can read on his official website in the column “Upcoming concerts”.

The singer did not give any details about the medical problems that caused his withdrawals. “Unfortunately, these were cases of force majeure, but everything is much better today,” he assured on Instagram on July 26, thinking then to return quickly to the stage. In his post of July 29, he simply wrote: “We will (and I hope with all my heart!) get back on our feet and return to the galaxy of galactics even stronger!” The opportunity, also, to tackle “messages of another kind, suspicious and unpleasant”, that he read following his date cancellations. “I leave their authors to the malicious mind.”
