Emile Louis, Michel Fourniret, Claude Dunand… The Yonne has sheltered a surprising number of criminals since the 1970s. The documentary series The conspiracy of silenceproduced by Thierry Fournet and Vincent Hérissé, retraces the atrocities committed by these individuals and above all explains the dysfunctions of the institutions of the department, which have made it possible, through their laxity, their negligence or their incompetence, to allow serial killers to prosper.

First broadcast at the end of 2022 on France 3 Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the series was immediately put online on the France Télévisions platform, France.tv, where it has accumulated more than 500,000 views.
A success that prompted management to program the first four episodes on Wednesday May 24 in the second part of the evening on France 2. The last four will be available on May 31.
While a season 2 is in preparation, the producer of The conspiracy of silenceGuillaume Blanc, announces on franceinfo that there will be a 3rd and final season in 2024.
