“The account is not there”said Saturday March 9 on franceinfo Céline Verzeletti, confederal secretary of the CGT, while Stanislas Guerini, the Minister of Transformation and Public Service, announced Saturday on franceinfo bonuses for public employees during the Olympics, an amount of 500 to 1,500 euros depending on their degree of mobilization.
For Céline Verzeletti, Stanislas Guerini “seems to make announcements that were not intended”. But according to her, “there were provisions for bonuses in relation to mobilized civil service agents for the Olympic Games. But these provisions, planned since November 2023, were not very precise”. The CGT demanded “more clarification” and to be able “discuss criteria for obtaining compensation bonuses which are the same for everyone, regardless of the public employer”.
“This government never hears the warnings of trade union organizations”
Céline Verzeletti welcomes the fact “that there be a graduation of bonuses according to constraints”. But the CGT wants a principle: “for the same constraints, the same bonuses, whatever the employer”. “Local authority agents must receive these same bonuses if they have the same constraints as, for example, police officers who are in the state civil service. Today, we do not have this guarantee. “ The confederal secretary of the CGT recognizes “a step” from the Minister of Transformation and Public Service “which seems to say that these bonuses could benefit all the agents mobilized for the Olympic Games and no longer as was planned, at the discretion of the employer”.
“This government never hears the warnings of the trade union organizations”, deplores Céline Verzeletti. “He does not want to sit around a table enough to discuss the real needs of the agents who are going to be really particularly mobilized for these Olympic Games“.
“Very often, we have to instead draw threats of mobilization, strikes, file strike notices so that they finally realize that the Olympic Games cannot be held without the workers”adds Céline Verzeletti.
