Nearly 103 drivers were fined on Wednesday July 13 on the A7 motorway for having filmed a heavy goods vehicle accident, France Bleu Drôme Ardèche reported on Thursday.
Around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, two trucks collided on the A7 motorway, heading north, at Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux (Drôme), shortly after the Bollène interchange. The trailer of one of the trucks caught fire, causing a lot of smoke. The lanes were then closed in the South-North direction. But a big plug formed in the other direction for 30 km, many curious motorists filming the fire of the truck.
“People were slowing down on purpose so they could film. Some drivers almost stopped and almost got hit.”
