Having reached an age conducive to balance sheets, the unforgettable interpreter of “Manon des sources” returned without the slightest filter to one of her two passions: cosmetic surgery. The daughter of the late singer Guy Béart is indeed a living paradox. On the one hand, she is an authentic and committed woman, defending tooth and nail abused children and the undocumented, on the other an actress, obsessed enough by her appearance to pay a very substantial contribution to the coffers of the surgeons in charge of maintain its image and guarantee it eternal youth.
Emmanuelle, however, assumes this hiatus very well and hides nothing of her addiction to the scalpel and injections, to the point of having drawn up a complete inventory of her operations: “I think I’m on my third facelift and fourth Botox. What do you want me to say, I’m still not going to show if I have scars or not”she confided. “I show my face all the time, let them look at it and then if they really think I’m lifted and botoxed, that’s their problem”.
But among all the operations undergone, fireworks to reshape her body and especially her face, there is one that the actress bitterly admits to regret and which left her forever disfigured: her mouth operation, which she had it done again at just 27 years old.
A painful episode that this cold beauty is not ready to forget, and the memory of which marked her with a hot iron: “It’s no secret, it’s missed, admitted the artist. Frankly, I’m not about to go back, because I had such a shock with all that, and under the gaze of others. It was appalling.” Some at the time had indeed compared her brand new lips to a duck’s beak. Proof that if, as the popular expression goes “You must suffer to be beautiful”, the result is far from guaranteed… But this ‘industrial accident’ did not encourage the actress to keep her mouth shut, so great is her desire to defend the cause of the poorest.
