At the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards, the series of which he is the hero, “Lupine” (third season), won the prize for best foreign series. During the evening, France obtained two prizes. In addition to the one won by Netflix for the adaptation of Maurice Leblanc’s novel, it is still “Anatomy of a fall”by Justine Triet who won the prize for best foreign film (after a hit at the Golden Globes).
Since 2021, Omar Sy has played Assane Diop, a contemporary burglar inspired in his attacks by Arsène Lupin. The series is such a success that it even enters the top 10 of the most viewed non-English-speaking series on the Netflix platform. In the United States in particular, “Lupine” is the first French production to enter the US top 10, the day after the first broadcast. Part 3, awarded last night in Los Angeles, was broadcast from October 5, 2023, and it is now season 4 of “Lupine” which is awaited by fans. The creator of the series has hinted that a fourth part would indeed be planned, but Netflix has not yet confirmed anything…
