For a little less than two weeks, cinema lovers have had a new film available to them, by Mathieu Vadepied, entitled Skirmishers. “Bakary Diallo enlists in the French army to join Thierno, his 17-year-old son, who has been recruited by force. Sent to the front, father and son will have to face the war together. Galvanized by the ardor of his officer who wants to lead him to the heart of the battle, Thierno will free himself and learn to become a man, while Bakary will do everything to save him from the fighting and bring him back safe and sound”.
A feature film in which appears, Omar Sy, who does not only play the role of actor but also that of co-producer. “A film about transmission”indicated the comedian of 44 years in front of the cameras of Madame Figaro.
“My father made me understand that transmission is not just about him and me, after all. It’s the link in a big, big chain”he continued. “Do you want to be the link that breaks?”In this interview, we learn that this father of five children (Selly, Sabah, Tidiane, Alhadji and Amani-Nour) took care with his wife Hélène of his two nephews. Their education was more complicated since it was done in “force” as he confided. “We no longer understand each other, (…) We are changing. It is no longer the child, but it is the adult. I am no longer the father, I am the equal”.
