Omar Sy back as Lupin in October

He’s Back: More than two years after the release of the second part of the series blockbuster LupineOmar Sy will be back on October 5 as the hero created by Maurice Leblanc, Netflix announced on Thursday.


True to form, the American platform of streaming chose Twitter to make its announcement: “Bravo to those who saw it well: Lupine part 3, October 5,” revealed the platform’s French account.

To accompany the tweet: the poster, with the superstar Omar Sy in its center, from behind and looking at the rooftops of Paris. Message immediately retweeted by the personal account of the actor and producer.

He plays Assane Diop, an admirer of Arsène Lupine anchored in today’s Paris. In the second part, Assane found himself in a conflicting situation between his desire to avenge his father and his desire to be a good father himself.

With 76 million households watching Lupine within 28 days of the release of the first part, fiction had dethroned the Spanish robbers of The casa de papel (65 million views over 28 days for its part 4) as the most popular non-English series on the platform.

Dubbed in fifteen languages, Lupine had also ranked number 1 in a dozen countries, including the United States. A first for a tricolor series.
