The investigation into the murder of Ghislaine Marchal is now reopened. It is a victory for Omar Raddad, the gardener of the victim convicted in 1994, who has been claiming his innocence for thirty years.

Omar Raddad and his lawyer succeeded in winning the case for the reopening of the investigation into the murder of Ghislaine Marchal, which took place on June 24, 1991. Thanks to advances in science, Omar Raddad hopes to obtain a review trial, in the ‘from which he would be exonerated. “Omar Raddad is very happy, he regains confidence in justice. It is a real hope”, rejoices his lawyer, Sylvie Noachovitch.

The mystery will perhaps be lifted on the origin of the inscription “Omar killed me” marked in blood, which accuses Omar of the murder of his former boss for thirty years. The gardener and his lawyer hope to soon be able to put a name on this DNA. At the time, the gardener was accused of the murder of Ghislaine Marchal, then sentenced to 18 years of criminal imprisonment in 1994. Four years later, he was partially pardoned by Jacques Chirac, without being officially exonerated.
