Olympique de Marseille must finish the job. First in Group B of the Europa League, the Phocéens travel to England on Thursday, December 14, to the lawn of Brighton, second, for the sixth and final day of C3. With one point ahead of the Seagulls, OM need to leave with at least a draw to secure first place. In the first leg, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s teammates were held in check by the English club, while they had a two-goal lead (2-2).
Certain of finishing in one of the first two places, the Olympian team therefore has its destiny in its hands against Brighton, who will be deprived in particular of Ansu Fati for this meeting. As a reminder, the second in the group will play in the round of 16 of the Europa League, while the first goes directly to the round of 16.
