Two days after announcing a “agreement in principle”Olympique de Marseille has confirmed the recruitment of Adrien Rabiot. Free since the expiration of his contract with Juventus this summer, the French international midfielder (48 caps) was able to sign with the club from the Phocaean city despite the transfer window closing on August 30. The duration of the lease linking him to OM has not yet been communicated.

He strengthens the midfield of the team led by the Italian Roberto De Zerbi, who is having a very good start to the season in Ligue 1 (three wins, one draw). The current second in the French championship, behind Paris Saint-Germain, is recovering a very experienced player, finalist of the last World Cup, Italian champion in 2020 with Juventus and six-time French champion with PSG, whose colors he wore from the age of 15 to 24. He becomes the first player to go to the enemy at some point in his career since Lassana Diarra (Marseille 2015-2017, PSG 2018-2019).
