In the aftermath of the knife attack which left six injured including four young children in Annecy (Haute-Savoie), government spokesman Olivier Véran denounces Friday, June 9 the “unhealthy game” right and extreme right “while we are in the time of emotion and shock”. “There are legitimate questions”he recognizes all the same while Les Républicains and the National Rally make the link between immigration and this attack, but “It is not the moment” to ask them, according to him.
“I consider that there is a time of emotion, then a time of investigation and explanations. After that, the political time will come if there is a political time that must come.”
