From this Saturday, July 1, 2023, France 2 is broadcasting the new season of Fort Boyard. An edition made up of nine bonuses whose filming was carried out last spring and during which Olivier Minne gave an interview to our colleagues from Tele-Leisure. Facilitator of the program since 2003, the acolyte of Father Fouras claims to take “always so much fun”. However, he regrets not having been able to carry out a project that was close to his heart. Indeed, the TV man would have liked to offer a Fort Boyard live to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show in 2009. Bad luck, this idea fell through… for lack of financial means.
“I’m from live, it doesn’t scare me. Unfortunately, it costs a blind!”, confided the presenter before saying more: “I had proposed that we do the program live with the idea that it would be broadcast in La Rochelle on a giant screen. There would have been the possibility for two people from the public to be chosen live to join the fort by boat. I had written a whole project”. According to the media, this special edition would have seen the return of anonymous people to the fort instead of the usual celebrities who play for associations every year.

Olivier Minne has a head full of ideas
If this project did not succeed, Olivier Minne prefers to remain positive. “You should never be discouraged by madness. When I put 30 presenters on stage for one evening, it took me two years to convince France 2”, he remembered. It was in 2005 that the play A strings attachedwas born. “In the end, we reached 5.2 million viewers and this allowed us to relaunch the theater in prime time on the channel. It’s all about trying!” Wise advice!
