Olivier Faure, first secretary of the PS, is the guest of “4 Truths” of France 2, Friday February 17.
Should insubordinate France withdraw its amendments in order to allow a vote on article 7 (on the postponement of the legal retirement age to 64) of the pension reform in the National Assembly? “I would like us to move on to the examination of this article 7. I would also not like that there is now a debate on the debate and that it comes to give the feeling that there would be insurmountable disagreements then even that the real subject is whether we are for or against this reform”explains Olivier Faure, first secretary of the PS, guest of the “4 Truths” of France 2, Friday February 17.
“I would prefer that each parliamentarian be made face to face with his responsibility”
The first secretary of the PS evokes “a tactical difference” with LFI, “which is not insurmountable”. “I would prefer that each parliamentarian be made face to face with his responsibility”, he adds. Aren’t the games already made on article 7, when LR should vote for it? “It’s a reform called Borne-Ciotti, it’s an agreement between the right and the right. […] I think they are a number [de gaullistes, NDLR] not wanting to do it [voter la réforme, NDLR]”says Olivier Faure.
