Olivier: Eve Côté and Pierre-Luc Pomerleau in the lead

Comedians Eve Côté and Pierre-Luc Pomerleau have earned a place at the top of the nominations for the 25th Olivier gala next March.

Côté, who will also host the comedy gala with Cathy Gauthier, received five mentions, notably for show of the year and author of the year for a comedy show.

Its collaborators are also nominated for staging and visual design of the year, prizes awarded at the Industry Gala.

For his part, Pierre-Luc Pomerleau stood out in four categories, including show of the year, for “Moqueur polyglotte”.

Comedians Philippe-Audrey Larrue-Saint-Jacques, Fabien Cloutier and Daniel Grenier could walk away with three prizes.

Mathieu Dufour, Christine Morency, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, Arnaud Soly and Mike Ward will compete for the most prestigious trophy of the evening, the Olivier of the year.

For the discovery of the year, Suzie Bouchard, Mégan Brouillard, Mona De Grenoble, Michelle Desrochers and Tommy Néron were selected.

Suzie Bouchard is also present in other categories, including humorous radio capsule or sketch of the year, and text of the year for the series “Entre deux draps”.

“Entre deux sheets” is also found in the titles in the running for the humorous fiction series of the year, alongside “La Confrérie”, “Contre-offre”, “Discussion avec mes parents” and “L’oeil du cyclone”.

Last year, it was Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais who was the big winner of the evening with three prizes, including that of Olivier of the year.

The Olivier gala will be presented on ICI Télé on March 24 at 8 p.m.
