Olivier Dall’Oglio is no longer the coach of Montpellier

One year, four months and sixteen days: this is the time that Olivier Dall’Oglio will have spent on the bench of the MHSC. The coach was dismissed on Monday, according to our information, the day after a seventh defeat in eleven dayson the field of Lens (1-0).

Weakened by a second half of the dark season, during the previous exercise, the former Brestois had finally been reinforced last summer by his management. Left with the hope of turning the page and straightening the teamthe 58-year-old technician will not have succeeded, at least not since August.

The last three lossesagainst Lens, Monaco and Toulouse will have got the better of him, when the latter remained convinced of being able to influence the dynamic, which he still affirmed on Saturday evening.

Olivier Dall’Oglio therefore leaves La Paillade, not without having fulfilled part of his mission, namely getting young people out of the training center, but with an accounting balance sheet that satisfies no one : 27 defeats in 52 games, including twenty in the last thirty league games.

He is the fifth Ligue 1 coach to have his contract terminated, within a week. The club has not yet formalized the decision, nor has it indicated what it would do with the three deputies attracted when the former Dijon native arrived: Benjamin Guy (physical trainer), Grégory Peres ( deputy), Maxime Flaman (video).

A press conference is organized by the MHSC, with President Laurent Nicollin, this Monday at 5 p.m., in Grammont. It should allow to know more, as well as on the new organization and the name of the successor.
