Olivier Besancenot flies to the aid of Philippe Poutou in his sponsorship race

With only 188 elected, Philippe Poutou is in difficulty in his harvest of sponsorships for the presidential election. His party, the NPA (New Anti-Capitalist Party), therefore multiplies the meetings to try to reach 500 signatures. This was the case on Tuesday February 16 with the media spokesperson and former candidate Olivier Besancenot in front of 150 people.

The room was small, of course, but full to bursting to come and listen to the most famous postman in the political world. “Good evening everyone, I imagine that you have come to celebrate the reopening of the clubs since it seems that it is tonight“quips Olivier Besancenot, who is rediscovering his seriousness in the face of a campaign which he considers to have turned into a major political crisis.

“We need to get together, campaign or no campaign. If only to hold and raise the flag of anti-fascism together. Because it’s urgent!”

Above all, he has one fear: that Philippe Poutou cannot be a candidate. “We want to fight so that Philippe has all of his sponsorships in two weeks, and we are asking to help us with that!”claims Olivier Besancenot.

Message received five out of five by Dalila, a Parisian activist ready to travel across France: “We try to leave, at least two, to meet the mayors all over France to try to explain to them why it is important that Philippe Poutou can present himself for this campaign.” It remains for Philippe Poutou until March 4 to find 312 sponsorships of elected officials.
