The Quebec City Film Festival (FCVQ) will host a guest of choice on June 15: American filmmaker Oliver Stone.

An intimate meeting, open to the public, is planned at the Le Diamant theatre. During this non-festival event entitled Quebec meets Oliver Stone, the subject of the assassination of JFK will be discussed, in the wake of the documentary JFK Revisited that the filmmaker has just made. The discussion will be moderated by journalist Jean-François Lépine. Ticket prices vary between $67 and $96.

Oliver Stone is a successful director, screenwriter, producer and author. Stone won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Midnight Express (1978) and twice Best Director for Platoon (1986) and Born on the Fourth of July (1989). It is also known for Wall Street (1987), jfk (1991), Nixon (1995), W. (2008), Savages (2012) and Snowden (2016), as well as for his work on the screenplay of the iconic film scarface by Brian DePalma (1983).

The Quebec Film Festival will be presented from September 8 to 11, 2022.
