Oli Féra celebrates female rock on his EP “Les amours chronophages”

The winner of the last Festival international de la chanson de Granby, Oli Féra, unveiled her EP on Friday “Time-consuming loves” on digital platforms.

Originally from Granby, the one who celebrates female rock offers five songs on this EP, including “Le bouquet”, which is the very first extract. She describes the framework of this new material as “cinemato-rock-emotive”. She also presented the clip for the play “Hors-la-loi”.

Viola Ferrando, alias Oli Féra, also won Ma Première Place des Arts in 2017 and the author-composer prize at the same competition last year.

“In my songs, I like to highlight completely imperfect people, because I find it beautiful to meet the vulnerable, the ugly, the true. We live in a world where there are so many expectations of having to be the perfect human. And at all times. I really wanted to break that!” she said in a statement.

The EP was produced by Marcus Quirion at Bolo Tie Studio. Quirion plays all the instruments with Oli Féra, but the drums are Simon Bilodeau’s business.

Oli Féra will be at the Kool Clup in Granby on April 28 to launch his EP in his hometown.
