(Montreal) A 31-year-old man was shot and injured on Saturday evening in the Ville-Marie borough in Montreal.
Calls to 911 around 7:55 p.m. alerted the Montreal Police Service (SPVM) to gunshots and a person possibly shot in Place Jacques-Cartier, in Old Montreal.
The man was seriously injured in the upper body, but conscious. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital in the Montreal region, said SPVM spokesperson Julien Lévesque.
