OKRA new restaurant in Bordeaux

At the head of the restaurant Antoine Touzé and Patrick N’Diaye pay homage to African cuisine. An adventure begins at the beginning of August with Martina and Mathilde, a family business supported by many friends who have invested in the opening of this unique concept in Bordeaux. In the kitchen, Patrick is in charge, he is of Guinean origin and cooks to perfection and in the sense of detail African-inspired dishes, while keeping French notes, such as, for example, the steak frites transformed into rump steak with salsa verde (which is a South African sauce) with cassava rösti and creamy safou, for those who do not know safou it is a variety of plums from Cameroon.

Nadia Bergeat: I let myself be tempted by a dessert, plantain mousse with peanut praline and speculoos, but next time I’ll try the crème brûlée with baobab fruit!

Both Mediterranean and Charentaise, Nadia began her career at the age of 20 as a theater costume designer in Bordeaux. A job she still exercises with as much passion. From shows to shows and from town to town, she discovers the regions; the countries ; specialties and both culinary and geographic riches. These terroirs where the know-how and the local identity of the products are forged, Nadia seeks to share them with everyone and shares them on her blog Follow La Baronne Instagram and Twitter! And the South-West of France, a nourishing and generous land, remains his favorite land. Curious, enthusiastic, she lacks neither the audacity nor the appetite to bring the product closer to the consumer, to support the initiatives of producers concerned with relaunching quality products. Columnist she wants to transmit this pleasure and delight the listeners.
