“Oh damn… no!”, Franck Dubosc bursts into tears in “Quelle Epoque” when Léa Salamé finds him a letter addressed to his deceased mother!

It was an emotional Franck Dubosc who appeared on the set of What an era this Saturday, September 23, 2023. Guest of Léa Salamé and Christophe Dechavanne, the actor was led to discuss a letter written to his mother when he was only around ten years old and she was hospitalized. In this missive, the actor talks about all the beautiful things that his mother does for him on a daily basis.

“Dear mom, you are as kind as a flower”, he begins. “Tyou make my bed for me, you buy food for me to eat, you’re wasting all your money on me, you’re so nice mom. When I play with my friends you call me to come home on time, when I get injured, you always go get a bandage and a bit of gas to treat me. Tu know i like fries and ground steak so you make me some. You buy me toys so I don’t get bored, you’re so nice.”

And to continue:You slap me but in your heart you love me. In the evening, when I go to bed, you come and kiss me and when I sleep too and then I know that you love me. Big kiss, mom.”. On the verge of tears, Franck Dubosc had great difficulty finishing his reading. Supported by Luc Besson, who was at his side, Danièle’s companion then told a surprising anecdote about the day his mother finally left the hospital.

“As she was in the hospital I couldn’t see her. So I wrote letters. She was very ill and when she finally came home she went to pick me up from school, I looked at him and I said to him: ‘How ugly are you?’. When I see my children not being respectful to me I tell myself that I was worse…” Confidences which did not fail to shock the assembly…
