OGC Nice formalizes the arrival of Franck Haise as coach and announces the appointment of Florian Maurice as new sports director

Franck Haise, former coach of RC Lens, has signed as coach at OGC Nice, the club confirms in a press release on Thursday. Florian Maurice becomes sports director.

In a press release sent Thursday June 6 to the sports management of Radio France, OGC Nice formalizes the arrival of Franck Haise as new coach and announces the appointment of Florian Maurice to the position of sports director. For the Nice club, it is the “choice of reliability, competence and long term”. The club president is delighted to“install a competent sports director and coach, with great professional and human qualities, ready to work together for the success of the club”.

At 53, Franck Haise arrives from RC Lens, where he managed the professional team for more than four seasons, leading it from L2 to the Champions League. He was elected best coach in L1 during the 2022-23 financial year, he confirmed his arrival at the Aiglons on May 28 to AFP. “I am very proud to be involved with OGC Nice, a historic club that I have often faceddeclares the coach. The project convinced me, as did the discussions I was able to have with the management of the Gym”explains Franck Haise in this press release.

As for the new sporting director of Nice, Florian Maurice, he is a former international striker (six caps for the French team), notably playing for Lyon, Marseille and Paris as a player. In 2009, he joined the recruitment unit of Olympique Lyonnais, before becoming its manager in 2014, then joining Rennes in 2020 as technical director.
