We are only a week away from the start of the Beijing Olympics, special Games since they take place under the threat of Covid-19. To protect the athletes, the Chinese authorities have decided to create a health bubble.
Around the Olympic stadium, the bubble is in place, hermetic, closed and well guarded. During the Games, only the athletes, organizers and volunteers may be inside this area, the others will remain on the other side of the fence. The idea is to avoid any possibility of transmission of the virus, especially, according to the authorities, with these athletes who have come from abroad where the Covid-19 runs.
Taken in hand from the airport, the participants will not leave the bubble in Beijing and on the two other places, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. And on the roads that connect the venues, an Olympic lane has been set up for participants, in well-identified vehicles. Inside the bubble, where training began, wearing a mandatory mask, temperature control and daily PCR tests are required. There will be no spectators in the bubble.
