Nearly 300 lots seized by the courts from traffickers were sold at auction on Tuesday, April 25, in Paris. The sale brought in almost 1,300,000 euros. The money will go into the state coffers.

One could think of an auction to disperse the heritage of a very large fortune. But the luxury items were all seized from drug traffickers, enough to attract the crowds of the big days to the Paris courthouse. Outside, a Lamborghini belonged to a man who laundered drug money but had the flaw of being very active on social media. In the room, two men came on purpose to try to acquire the luxury car. It is ultimately a buyer on the internet who will win the bet at 138,000 euros.

Buy state-of-the-art equipment with the profit from the sale

In the middle of the auction, some good deals, such as a powerful scooter bought for 3,000 euros with which a man leaves. “It’s a very very good price”he rejoices. In total, the sale brought in nearly 1,300,000 euros. Most of it will go to law enforcement to fight traffickers. “We are going to buy state-of-the-art equipment from the police, the gendarmerie, to carry out investigations, to spin, to confuse traffickers”explains Nicolas Prisse of the interministerial mission to fight against drugs and addictive behavior.
