To supplement their pension or out of passion for their profession, many employees of a truck conversion company in Isère have decided to work after the legal retirement age. The oldest is 89 years old.
At Chartreuse heavyweights, in Beaucroissant in Isère, the welder Jean-François comes to work every morning. He has 40 years of experience and should have retired a few years ago, but his pension is not asimportant. “I don’t have a big retirement, what can I still do?“, he explains. He looks young next to Gérard, so his first hiring dates back to 1947.”I have resumed an activity, I continue to come a day or two a week when they ont need me“, says the dean. He helps out even with difficult tasks.
