An 87-year-old man was rescued by firefighters at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday March 27 in Noyal-Chatillon-sur-Seiche, near Rennes. His house, located rue Talleyrand, was engulfed in flames in this residential area.
The old man, who is disabled, was stuck on the first floor of his house. He was rescued using a fire department ladder. His wife, also present, is unharmed. The octogenarian was transported to the CHU Pontchaillou in Rennes in relative emergency. The fire started from the kitchen and spread to the whole house which was badly damaged.
Twenty firefighters from the Rennes le Blosne barracks went to the scene.
