One year later Future Fictionthe Montreal group continues, with its latest release, to offer catchy and chaotic rock, focusing on a perhaps more contemplative and soaring facet that we associate with shoegaze and neo-psychedelic sounds. The twenty-minute set plunges us into a real sensory journey that makes us explore both the tumult and the calm inherent in Karma Glider’s music. Ocean Honey Violence : we could not find better words to describe the album, words to which we could however attach the adjectives “electronic”, “melancholic” and “poetic”. The adventure thus begins with a very interesting introduction partly generated by artificial intelligence, Backand continues with catchy melodies — we are thinking especially of the excellent Wave And Sugarcane — before the apotheosis of Submarineeuphorically nostalgic.
