The miniseries is thus launched as part of the Star Wars Celebration, which will be held from May 26 to 29. Ewan McGregor takes over the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, 17 years later Revenge of the Sith. He will reunite with his acting partner, Hayden Christensen, as Darth Vader.

Other cast members include Rupert Friend as the Inquisitor, and Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars, Luke Skywalker’s uncle who, at the end of episode 3, takes the small under his wing.

According to a tweet from the Star Wars account posted in December 2020, the action of the miniseries takes place 10 years after the tragic events of Revenge of the Sithwhere Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader under the influence of Emperor Palpatine.
