(Montreal) Financial technology company Nuvei reported profits of US$5.3 million in its second quarter, down from US$11.6 million in the same period last year.
The Montreal-based company said its revenues were US$345.5 million for the quarter ended June 30, up from US$307.0 million for the same quarter last year.
Net income per share was 2 US cents, compared with 7 US cents a year ago.
In June, Nuvei shareholders voted overwhelmingly in favor of a plan to buy the company outright and take it private at a value of $6.3 billion.
The company says the deal is expected to close in late 2024 or the first quarter of 2025.
Nuvei did not provide financial outlook or growth targets in its earnings release Tuesday night because of its impending privatization.
