La Nupes has tabled a new motion of censure against the government, which will be put to the vote on Monday, June 12 in the National Assembly.
La Nupes takes over from the Liot group. Thursday, June 8, when their text had just been examined in the National Assembly, the group announced that it was withdrawing its bill on the repeal of the pension reform. The president of the hemicycle ruled inadmissible all the amendments seeking to restore the repeal. For this, she appealed to Article 40 of the Constitution, which prohibits all parliamentary proposals creating a burden on public finances.
The opposition rebels against the government
The opposition rose up, accusing the government of flouting the rights of Parliament. The Nupes then decided to file a new motion of censure against the executive, Friday, June 9. Last March, a previous motion from the Liot group had narrowly failed, with nine votes. For the Renaissance group, this motion of censure, which will be voted on Monday, June 12, will show that there is no other choice than the presidential majority.
