The candidates of the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) in the legislative elections are upwind. Several of them accuse Emmanuel Macron of “electoral tampering”in a press release issued Tuesday, May 17, on the movement’s website.

In their sights: the new political color chart put in place by the Ministry of the Interior in the context of the legislative elections of June 12 and 19. According to a circular from Place Beauvau dated May 16, a shade Together! (Presidential Majority) was created in place of La République en Marche (now called Renaissance).

But the Nupes nuance, resulting from the agreement between LFI, the PS, EELV and the PCF, has, on the other hand, not been created. The reason: she “brings together candidates invested independently by the parties associated with this agreement”what “tends to demonstrate the desire for these candidates to remain attached to their party of origin”explains the circular of the executive, quoted by the ministry. “These parties present themselves independently as evidenced in particular by the associations declared under public aid and the audiovisual campaign”specifies Beauvau.

A situation deplored by many left-wing executives and candidates. “It is extremely worrying, we dispute the circular from the Ministry of the Interior”, denounced, Tuesday, Julien Bayou, national secretary of EELV and candidate in Paris, during a presentation to the press of all the candidates of Nupes in the capital.

“They try to erase us even in the texts”for her part, lambasted Sophia Chikirou, Nupes-LFI candidate, specifying that difficulties had been noted in particular in Ariège and in the Rhône.
