Tottenham’s heavy defeat against Manchester United on Saturday (0-3) sealed the fate of Nuno Espirito Santo at the head of Spurs. The Tottenham club announced, Monday, November 1, the dismissal of its coach as well as that of three members of its staff. Arrived last July from Wolverhampton, the Portuguese coach has led only 17 games on the London bench.

In the Premier League, Tottenham is currently eighth, after five wins and five losses, including losses against Chelsea, Arsenal and therefore Manchester United. The club is not much better on board in the Europa League Conference, where it is third in Group G after a draw in Rennes (2-2) and a loss on the lawn of Vitesse Arnhem (1-0). In the statement released by Tottenham, sporting director Fabricio Paratici said: “I know how Nuno and his staff wanted to succeed here and I take this decision with regret”. The club have yet to announce the name of their replacement.
