(New York) Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson and Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner were honored by the NHL on Thursday for their impressive one-point streaks.
Robertson was named November’s first star of the month after leading the league with 15 goals and 26 points in 14 games last month.
The Stars forward also had at least one point in every game for his team in November, and he took that irresistible streak to 16 games (17 goals and 12 assists).
New Jersey Devils goaltender Vitek Vanacek was named the second star. He led the NHL with eight wins in 10 outings (nine starts), going 8-1-0 with a 2.13 goals-against-average and 93% save percentage.
For his part, Marner also had at least one point in every game last month, and he was named the third star with six goals and 14 assists in 15 games.
Marner notably extended this happy streak to 18 games on Wednesday night, thus equaling the team mark shared until then by Darryl Sittler and Ed Olczyk. He had seven goals and 17 assists during that streak.
For his part, Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Logan Thompson, who also recorded eight wins in November, was named last month’s rookie.
