(Paris) The French Academy on Thursday selected three finalists for its Grand Prix of the novel, namely Pascale Robert-Diard, Giuliano Da Empoli and Jean Michelin, she announced.

The prize is due to be awarded on October 27.
Pascale Robert-Diard, journalist at World who has a long experience of assize courts, signs with The Little Liar (Editions de l’Iconoclaste) a fiction about a storyteller.
The Italian-Swiss Giuliano Da Empoli has the particularity of having caught the attention of several juries of the autumn prizes while The Mage of the Kremlin (Gallimard) was published in April.
Finally Jean Michelin, with Those who remain (Héloïse d’Ormesson editions), describes the unexplained disappearance of a soldier, a job he knows well since he practices it.
This Grand Prize is the most coveted and prestigious among the many awarded by the Immortals, and it is endowed with 10,000 euros.
