For the fourth edition in a row, Novak Djokovic is in the Wimbledon final. After Kevin Anderson in 2018, Roger Federer in 2019 and Matteo Berrettini in 2021, it is the Australian Nick Kyrgios (40th in the world) that he faces, Sunday July 10, to try to win a seventh title on the London lawn, his fourth in a row. The pair have played each other twice, and Kyrgios won both times in straight sets, but the encounters date back to 2017 on hard court.
Physical freshness could prove decisive. The Australian, exempted from the semi-finals after Rafael Nadal forfeited, played only 17 sets during this tournament, when the Serb played 23. If Novak Djokovic wins, he will come back to a length ofe Nadal in the race for Grand Slam titles (22 for the Spaniard).
