Nova Scotia | Man dies in downtown Halifax after scuffle

(Halifax) Halifax Regional Police say a 31-year-old man died following a scuffle involving several people in the city’s downtown area.


Police said they found an unconscious man on the sidewalk of Prince Street after 1 a.m. Saturday while responding to an argument at 1700 Brunswick Street.

The man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Halifax police say a man is in custody and they are not looking for any other suspects.

They are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact investigators.

Police did not provide any further details of the case.
