In episode seven, the couples compete in the game ‘Pure Wine,’ where Sam Dylan faces backlash but turns it into a strategic advantage. Meanwhile, tensions flare between Rafi Rachek and Umut Tekin. New couple Lorik Bunjaku and Denise Hersin enter the fray, but immediate conflicts arise, foreshadowing a difficult dynamic. The episode showcases alliances shifting and heightened drama among participants.
Raúl Richter (37) and Vanessa Schmitt (28) have been eliminated, marking a significant shift in the dynamics of ‘Sommerhaus der Stars’, where tensions are once again high as allegiances dissolve (Tuesday at 8:15 pm on RTL, available earlier on RTL+). In the latest episode, the couples face off in a competitive arena.
Each couple selects one member to enter the competition while the others watch from home. The television mysteriously turns on, signaling a game of ‘Pure Wine’. Contestants answer questions like “Who complains the most?” by nominating a competitor. The individual receiving the highest votes has their wine poured, and the first to fill their glass loses. Or does it?
Pure Wine Twist for Sam
Previously, this game favored those targeted by others rather than punishing them. Contestants could nominate another to leave the game, a tactic used to eliminate Andrej Mangold (37) in the 2020 season.
Although past episodes are fresh in the contestants’ minds, they are puzzled about whether this twist will apply this season. It raises suspense about whether the game will operate in the same manner or if new twists await.
Targeting Sam
Most contestants seem unaware of the potential strategy. Gloria Glumac (32) claims she’s informed, but that doesn’t stop others from attacking Sam Dylan (33). “Everything negative is associated with you,” states ex-bachelor Oliver Sanne (38), Sam’s rival.
As a result, Sam’s glass fills up the fastest. Curiously, he earns a consolation prize: though he can’t directly eliminate a couple, he can select one to sit out the next game. Sam opts for Oliver and his fiancée Jil Rock (32), not out of revenge but to hinder what he perceives as the strongest competitors. Oliver responds despondently, “Evil always wins.”
Clashing Personalities
Meanwhile, tension simmers between Sam’s partner Rafi Rachek (34) and Umut Tekin (27), who previously taunted Umut by tossing him treats. Rafi boldly confronts Umut, questioning whether he always needs to gather courage to throw things.
When Umut refuses to apologize, Rafi retaliates by splashing water in his face. Oliver steps in, realizing the situation has escalated unnecessarily. Although Rafi later apologizes, Umut rejects his gesture outright. Rafi also finds himself at odds with Stefan Kleiser (57) after jokingly referencing their age difference, but Stefan accepts the apology.
As the night progresses, another couple arrives: Lorik Bunjaku (27) and Denise Hersin (28), who originally connected on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’. Their arrival is met with coolness, especially from Umut and Emma, with Denise barely greeting them out of politeness.
With limited accommodations, the two couples are forced to share a sleeping space. Lorik and Denise find themselves in close quarters with Umut and Emma, which adds to the growing tension.
Games and Revelations
Umut hopes to rekindle ties with his former allies while Oliver envisions cozying up to the newcomers. However, Sam overhears their conversation and is wary, referring to himself as a “Disney witch” amid the scheming.
When it’s time for the first game, Oliver and Jil are exempt as Sam made his choice. Contestants must maintain balance on a shaky platform while pantomiming phrases. Unfortunately, Alessia Herren (22) and her partner struggle, failing even to convey basic terms effectively. Meanwhile, Gloria and Michael perform brilliantly, securing the win with nine correct answers.
Tensions Rise in New Couple
After the game, Lorik and Denise have a heated exchange, indicating they’re on shaky ground just one night in. They receive three votes against them, while Umut and Emma top the chart with four.
In a last-ditch effort, Umut seeks to ally with Lorik, but their meeting devolves into arguments. Denise’s attempt to engage Sam leads to further disarray, leaving the group in a state of confusion.
