The second day of debate concerning the law on purchasing power took place, this Tuesday, July 19, at the National Assembly. Fuel allowance, Macron bonus… the majority project is far from unanimous. Thomas Portes, deputy Nupes, was the political guest of the 23h of franceinfo.

“For the moment, everything is to be thrown away”. After studying two articles, Thomas Portes, elected deputy Nupes in the 3rd constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis, said he was dissatisfied with the bill on purchasing power proposed by the majority. In particular, he criticizes the government for a lack of compromise. “They only retained six amendments out of 150 for article 1”he says.

Thomas Portes judges this law “dangerous for the purchasing power of the French”. He also denounces “covenant” between the Republic in March, the Republicans and the National Rally which he names “the clan of capital and financial interests”. The deputy evokes the counter-proposal of law made by the Nupes which proposes a Smic at 1,500 euros and a blocking of prices to counter a project “not up to par” in his words.
