A little over 100 years after the release of the original, Nosferatu by Robert Eggers will arrive in theaters on December 25.
The director of The Witch, The Lighthouse And The Northman has been working for almost 10 years on his version of the work inspired by the novel Draculaby Bram Stoker, published in 1897.
Barely visible in the trailer, the famous vampire – renamed Count Orlock on the big screen – is played by Bill Skarsgård (It, The Crow). In Robert Eggers’ screenplay, he falls in love with Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp), who seems to let herself be bewitched.
Also in the cast are Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Simon McBurney, Willem Dafoe and Ralph Ineson. The latter two have already collaborated twice with the New York filmmaker.
