Northvolt factory project in Montérégie | Legault “infantilizes” Quebecers, according to the PQ

(Quebec) The controversial Northvolt battery mega-factory project in Montérégie is taking on the proportions of a crisis.

This is what the official liberal opposition deplored on Thursday in the National Assembly, the day after Prime Minister François Legault came out to defend the project which is bringing together opponents.

Radio-Canada revealed Wednesday that the scientific references used a few months earlier in an analysis to refuse a real estate project on the same location disappeared in the analysis which approved the Northvolt project.

Mr. Legault displayed a banana, an orange and an apple on Wednesday to illustrate that apples and oranges were then compared.

According to the Parti Québécois, Mr. Legault is not addressing the intelligence of Quebecers by speaking to them in this way and he is infantilizing them.
