The Côte-Nord is once again attracting tourists hungry for good food by offering its Gourmet Road Trip for the third year.
Discovering good restaurants, visiting market garden and sea farms, picking berries and mushrooms from the boreal forest, tasting in local microbreweries and distilleries, fishing and preparing smoked salmon in immersion with indigenous artisans, the choice is varied.
Developed in collaboration with the Table bioalimentaire Côte-Nord, the Gourmet Road Trip adds eight stops this year that are not to be missed while traveling along Route 138: in Pointe-Lebel, the Ferme Manicouagan, which specializes in growing haskap berries; in Baie-Comeau, the Champinord urban mushroom farm, Le Manoir du Café and the Distillerie Vent du Nord; in Sept-Îles, the Poissonnerie Fortier as well as the artisanal sauce makers of Petit Jardin du Nord; in Port-Cartier, Les Fleurs du Malt, which makes products from brewing spent grain from the microbrewery La Compagnie, as well as the Chocolaterie Cartier.
