If the size and gait evoke that of a wild beast, Antonio Sirna has his own idea. “I was filming but at the same time I was looking at the beast. What impressed me was that thick tail with the black tip. That’s what made me say to myself: it can’t be a fox, a cat, it can’t be anything other than a lioness”does he think.
“The authorities are in place”
Since then, he has been watching the nearby railway tracks, which look like a feast for wild animals, bordered by a forest frequented by game. Fearing for his safety and that of his animals, Antonio Sirna also alerted the municipality. The mayor first believed in a joke but then alerted the authorities and reassured the inhabitants. “The authorities are in place to do what needs to be done, to trap this animal, and then the story will end”says Isabelle Choain, mayor (PCF) of Prouvy.
