(Matagami) A man in his thirties died following a collision with a vehicle, Thursday evening, in Matagami, in Nord-du-Québec.
Emergency services were called to Route 109 around 5:30 p.m. to rescue a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle.
The man was seriously injured. He was transported to a hospital center where he was found dead in the evening, said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Nicolas Scholtus on Friday.
Few details about the circumstances of the accident were known.
An SQ agent specializing in investigations and collisions went to the scene to better understand what could have led to the accident.
